In January, 1996 Wellcare Clinics & Laboratories, Inc., was first established as a Multi-specialty Clinic. Incorporated by a group of physicians, all alumni of the De La Salle Medical School composed of:
- Dr. Allan Hernandez –Endocrinologist,
- Dr. Ephraim Francisco, Dr. Concepcion Carlos,
- Dr. Soledad Crisostomo – OB Gyne,
- Dr. Jesus Ambat – Pulmonologist,
- Dr. Vicente Caluag – Pediatrician
Wellcare Clinics, inspired by Mediserv, Inc. was the first mall-based clinic in the region establishing itself in Waltermart, Aguinaldo Highway, Dasmarinas, Cavite.
In October 1998, Wellcare Clinics merged with Mediserv, Inc. expanding its operations by putting – up its laboratory and ancillary facility. With the merger Dr. Hernando B. Delizo was installed Chairman of the Board with Dr. Allan Hernandez as Vice – Chairman.
In January, 1999, Mediserv, Inc. partnered with Health Integra, Inc., a management company with diverse and vast exposure in business and health care, to operate Wellcare Clinics.
March, 2000, Wellcare Clinics expanded its operations by opening a branch in Mainstreet Plaza at Manggahan, Gen. Trias, Cavite.
In March 24, 2011, Wellcare launched its Infertility Clinic, Surgical Eye Center and Digital Mammography. Another first in Cavite from Wellcare Clinics & Lab. Inc.
Wellcare Clinics is complemented by a robust group of health care professionals with diversified specialty. Wellcare Clincis is operated by customer oriented and highly trained professional medical staff.
On July 2012 Integrative Medicine, which combined eastern healing philosophies and modern western techniques, was introduced at our remodeled Sta. Rosa, Laguna Clinic Branch
